It was paralegal convention week in Charleston, South Carolina.
My, oh my.
It was historical, beautiful, hot and humid, and so very southern.
Historical--Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.
Beautiful--can you even imagine living at the end of a driveway like this one?
Or sitting on your veranda in front of a home like this?
Or having a secret garden like this?
Hot and humid--going to the beach was the best escape of the nearly 90 degree temperature with the 90+ percent humidity.
This is the 2nd longest pier on the east coast.
And the ocean? It is so warm and welcoming.
And Southern--What is more southern than sitting in your rocking chair on the veranda of your hotel with a cool drink while watching ships sailing in to the dock.
See what I mean? What a wonderful place to visit. And I didn't even mention the food. The amazing food.

Well, I hope you *do* mention the food. And I've always wanted to go to the coast in the Carolinas...and now I feel I have, at least a little. Sounds like you had a good time!
Looks beautiful! Sounds like a wonderful trip.
Nice. So nice. And you didn't even have to wear a hoop skirt in that humidity. Best of all worlds!
